Learn From Donald Trump Or George Soros

Every morning I turn on CNBC to get the current prices of the futures markets that I trade.

I seldom listen to what they are talking about since I have found it does not help me to make money in any reliable way.

However, today while I am watching the prices go by they were talking about lessons the rich can teach you.

Ok, I am always interested in what people have to say about the rich. They started out saying that the average person can’t learn anything from Donald Trump or George Soros.

I disagree with that.  I have learned a lot from these two people.  I have made life decisions based on what these people have done.

When I got of out college I got a job working for a large company.  That seemed to be what everyone did.  Then I started looking around at the people working there and at other people and what they were doing.

If you want to be successful find people and model yourself after them, same goes for making money.  I didn’t work with anyone who had any money.  But Donald Trump has money.  
He buys real estate.  
That got me interested in real estate and I found a lot of other people had made money with real estate, some of them made a lot of money.

I quit my job and started buying real estate and I am sure I made more money than anyone who worked and the company I was at.

I am not knocking working for a company, I am just saying look around at what people are doing and what they are earning and if you do the same thing that’s probably where you will be.

George Soros trades futures, and he has a lot of money.  There are many other people who trade the markets and have a lot of money.  So I started trading and I have made some money at it, not the kind of money George has but I have made some.  

I don’t want to pick on any particular profession, but I just watched a tv show on guys who collect garbage in New York.  These guys are some of the hardest working people I have ever seen.  I am sure I would not last one day trying to doing the work they do.

But I don’t think many of them are millionaires, so that tells me if I want to increase my odds of making money I need to stick with real estate or trading, and stay away from garbage collection.
