Making Money Advice

When I was about 20 years old, somewhere I came up with a basic formula for making money - mostly though trial and error.

I noticed when I came up with a brilliant business plan, one that people would sit back and say “Wow”, those ideas always failed or lost money, to me it’s the same thing.

Then slowly over time I realized when I made money what I did was I found a person, who was making money doing the thing I was interested in, and I just did what they were doing.

There is something about watching someone make money that just makes it more real.  They know where to go and what to do and if you listen to them you will too.

This has worked for me many times and has made me a lot of money.

I think there are a few people who can come up with an original idea and make money from it, but those people are 1 in a million.  For each one of those there are a million people making similar money by following someone else’s lead.

So ask yourself do you want a one in a million shot, or do you want something that will work 9 out of 10 times.  That’s what you really need to think about.

I have probably spend half my working life coming up with ideas and trying them, they have all been failures, I could have spent this time just watching cartoons and I saved all the money I spent on these ideas.

If I could go back and give myself one piece of advice it would be to find someone successful and follow what they are doing.
