Stuff Envelopes For Big Money - Not

Today I realized something that was so obvious I can’t believe I didn’t think of this before.

I have been looking at all different types of investment ideas on the web, and tons of work at home programs.

Then today I was looking at another one of those “stuff envelopes from home”.
(don’t ask me why)

Everyone knows these are one of two things:

  1. Try to get people to send you money for some worthless materials or something that is supposed to be related to the business.

  2. Try and get you to sign up other people to stuff envelopes under you.
I guess there is really a third option where they try to get you to do both of these.

But anyone involved more than a short time with the business knows that no one makes any money stuffing envelopes, these are all the typical take your money and run type of business.

While I am reading through the ad (it really sounded good, the guy was great at writing ad copy) I started thinking the reason I can’t sell this to someone is because I wouldn’t like it if someone sold it to me.

If I ever talk to someone about buying something, I always ask myself if I was buying this what would I want to know.

In the case of stuffing envelopes I would want to know that the money I was sending in would be wasted and I was not likely to make any money unless I could find more people who were more foolish with their money than I was.

That’s what I would want to know, so that’s what I would tell people if I were going to try to sell this, obviously if you tell people this they would not give you much money so I doubt I could get anyone to buy it.

To make money in most of the businesses I have seen on the internet you need a skill that I don’t have, you have to be able to sell something that you would not buy.
