Dnforum secret cost disclosed

I went back and analyzed the forum at dnforum.com some more and found out that the gold membership really does not get you anything.

You need the Platinum Membership to post to the sites for sale forum, the cost for a platinum membership is $50.95 USD.

If you’re just starting out you probably don’t want to spend more than $500 on your first site anyway.

So using this site is going to cost you an extra 10% to buy your site.  If you’re looking for a $250 site then you’re paying an extra 20%.  That is a lot to pay to use their site.

To start out I think sitepoint.com is a better option.

If you’re experienced in buying websites and you’re going to spend $5000 then it is only costing you an extra 1% so you can look at it kind of like a tax and it’s not so bad.

It is annoying that they don’t tell you that by signing up you will lose your privileges to see the forums.  So if you just want to read the forum posts then don’t register or the site will install a cookie on your computer that will block you from reading them.  How bizarre.
