Investing In A Web Site

I have decided I would like to invest some money in an online business.  Some type of web site that is running and profitable.

eBay has a lot of web sites for sale, but I have been looking at them part time for over a year now, and I can’t think of a single website that has been listed that I have seen that was actually making money.

I started to list the ways that the advertising of the web sites on eBay were not honest, then I noticed that I would have to include almost every site on there.  The only web sites that you get anything close to what you pay for are the sites that sell for around $10, because the domain name will cost you $8.00 to register it for a year.

So to spend money on eBay for a web site and think you are going to recover that money is a joke.

I started looking at sitepoint, they look like they have a lot of web sites that are making money that may actually be going for a reasonable price.

There are several issues that come up, the first being how much time is the site going to take, and would I be interested in owing that type of site.

If I’m completely uninterested in the subject of the site I think it would be hard to motivate myself to really run it properly, and I am not looking to take on a full time job.
