My Money Making Statistics

Its funny how some statistics will stick in your head, most of the statistics I remember are about making money.

I was trying to learn to day trade and one day the guy who was teaching me was sitting around because the market was kind of slow.  I asked him how his previous students were doing. He answered:

• “That’s one there”  points to a guy sitting behind me. “it took him a year to make his first million, 6 months later  he made a million in a month, then about 3 months after that he made a million in a day, and last week he made a million in a hour.”

I watched him make the million in an hour so I knew about that one, I didn’t know he had only been trading a little over 2 years and was trained by the guy training me.

Anyway, in comparison I have been working on this web site for a little over a year and in July 2005 I had my first double digit month.  That’s not profit it’s gross income.  So it took about 14 months, now its 5 months later and I am getting closer to a triple digit month.

I am still a little way off from a million dollar hour, or a million dollar year for that matter. But it is some progress, which is better than nothing, I’ll see if it continues.
