Real Web Sites For Sale

I have been looking at quite a few sites that sell web sites.  Most of them are like Ebay where every web site advertises that it only takes 4 seconds per month to run and has been earning $5,000 per month for the last year.  Only when you check the domain name was registered last week and they start the bidding at $1.00.

I am sure it is hard for an honest person to compete with so many sites that advertise thousands per month of profits with next to no time required to run the site.

The other type of listing is the - we need your name and all your personal information plus your social security number before we can tell you that our domain name is worth $400,000 type site.

Get real!

I think they sold drugs.com for a million so now everyone with a name like www.great-drugs-for-you-now-3.com wants a million also.

Anyway, I did run across one site that has a some web sites for sale that are a little more realistic, I am sure they have some people from ebay there also but every site is not claiming $4,000 per month.  Many of them don’t claim income, some said they are making $200 or $400 a month.  Which is probably a lot closer to what is really going on.

One ad even said they ran an adwords campaign and spent $100 for clicks and made $195 gross which is a $95 profit.  Ok, now we are getting a lot closer to reality.
