Buying A Website - Use IM

It seems if you’re looking to buy a website from one of the forums the best way to do it is to get the seller on instant messenger and then try to work out a deal before anyone else has a chance to make an offer.

Here is a good example, the guy put us a site for sale at 1:39 am

He listed it with no BIN (buy it now) price just an opening bid price.

When I see these I usually think just wait a little while and see what kind of response they get from other people.  I don’t want to rush in and start bidding and encourage other people to run the price up.

At 3:11am it was sold to someone on IM.

I think if you wanted to sit and spend a lot of time watching these forums then you can find good deals.  I am not really looking for something that requires me to sit all day and watch a computer screen.  If I was going to do that I would go back to day trading the stock market.
