Making Money Online is Not Impossible

I read a lot about making money online, and I keep noticing over and over different sites that start out by saying:

“I will tell you how to make money online.”

As soon as they say this they follow it up by getting into how much money you can make with your website:

It’s impossible to answer because there are so many factors to take into consideration.

I have a website that made $9.23 for the month of January 2006.  So to all the people who say it is impossible to say how much money a website can make, I just proved that it’s not impossible.

The problem I see it is a math related problem.  When people say that it is impossible they are thinking that to come up with one number for the amount of money a website can make that will work for all websites is impossible.  So since one number can’t answer the question how much money will any and all websites make, they jump to the conclusion that it is impossible to answer anything about any website on making money.

One way to answer the question is to narrow the number of websites you are working with.

I have narrowed the number to websites to one, this gives me an exact answer. My one website made $9.23 for January 2006.  

From here I can widen the number of websites and the range of money made will also increase.  I can say that I have looked at the earnings for 100 websites during the month of January 2006 and the amount of money they made ranged between $2.30 and $15,829.  

From here I can also figure the:

• mean


• median


• average

If you know what these numbers are then they can provide you with some useful information.

You can also give information like, 35 of the websites made less than $5.00 for the month.

Now if your site made more than $5.00 you know you did better than 35 of the 100 sites that were included.

Making money online is not impossible, but it may be impossible for some people to explain.
