Stormpay Rumors

The forums are a good place for Stormpay news but you have to keep in mind that anyone can post just about anything…

Some of the rumors flying around are:

1. Stormpay is closing and their site is down.


2. Stormpay has officially filed for bankruptcy protection.


3. FBI has secretly raided Stormpay's offices.


4. Stormpay's offices are on fire.  

You have to think about what you are reading…

- I just went to Stormpay.com and clicked on open an account and their form comes up, I was thinking about trying to open a new account just to see what would happen.

So the news about their site being down is just not right.

- Bankruptcies are public record, if they file everyone will have their case number and where they filed.  None of that information is available so this is probably not true at this time.

- The FBI doesn’t do any secret raids unless this is their first one ever.  As far as them using Stormpay to collect information on everyone else.  Well this is possible although not likely. The CEO of Stormpay is a lawyer and would have to have some iron clad agreement from the FBI and all DA’s that could come after him.  
Odds of that are not too good, and highly unlikely at best.

Although it is really odd that Stormpay is so involved with all these Autosurf sites and now turns and claims they are illegal.  This is not the smartest move they could have made, and it does not seem like something an intelligent person would go out and do on their own.

It is possible that Stormpay got a little overconfident when they got away with it last time, and decided they could pull something off on a bigger scale.

You can be sure that all the statements made by Stormpay are for generating documents to cover their butts in the future, but I can’t see any kind of organized move they are trying to make.  I would have expected them to come out with some story and then repeat it over and over to try and make their case up front.

But Stormpay seems to be switching horses in the middle of the stream several times, so I can’t wait to see what their strategy for this was.

Anyway, think about what you read in the forums and see if it makes sense or not.
