LBR chat room update - Twitter.com

LBR chat room day 4
So far I am pretty happy with the chat room, they seem to make pretty good calls and stay pretty focused on the market.

This morning racerx called a good trade in CISCO, I probably would have taken this trade, but I was mistakenly watching the futures chat room so I missed it.
Got out of half with around a .12 cent profit and then got stopped out of the rest around break even.

The chat room went down and I didn't know about it for 30 or 40 minutes, but I talked to a couple people who said this rarely happens, and is only because they are in the process of changing servers.

Chris talked about a burning dog setup, I searched google for "linda bradford raschke burning dog" and didn't really come up with anything.

later someone told me to look here:

good pages for people starting out with the chat room.

next trade by racerx was to short MS at 30.13 droped to 30.10 kind of then back to 30.15 over the next couple minutes.

So these calls do not really move any of these stocks and the trades I have seen you have minutes to enter, so you can really take your time.

Then racerx called a short for IBM at 119.20 got out around 119.01

These stocks are a little more pricey that the penny stocks I am used to trading, so I am running out of buying power in my stock account, which I never had a problem with before when I was buying stocks for $1 to $5.

These stock calls were all good, but I was up $65 on the day and kind of just wanted to hang onto my money and watch, also was close to the time when I have to do my taxi run and give everyone a ride to school, this takes an hour out of my day, and I don't like to hold trades while I am gone.

Chris called a short in the ES at 1032.25 and lost around .25 on this one.
Then Chris called another short at 1031.75 got out half around a point up then got stopped out for the 2nd half so a flat trade.

When he said ALERT: @1032.75 I figured out that means he was stopped out of the trade.
One more short and was stopped out with a 1 point loss.

So when he is trying to get short he will enter multiple trades and if they don't work out then he tries to flat them.

He also like to enter and get out then re-enter the market. Not something I am used to doing but not that big of a deal.

Watched and talks about the VIX and TICKS as indicators.

racerx called a RIMM trade late in the day said to short at 76.20 to 76.35 the price was at 76.13 at the time of the call, so lots of time to enter your order.

RIMM fell to 75.20 so it was a beautiful call, only it never got up to his entry point, too bad.

My account still is at $29,800 and I didn't trade any stocks today, only futures.

TWITTER.com

Twitter is not doing much so I may stop pulling it up, johnwelshphd I think is a good trader, but he holds a lot of stuff, and flats a lot of trades very quickly. Too hard to really follow along for me.

It is not that fast to get the messages and not very helpful anyway when I do get them.

I suppose I could just check it once an hour or so to see what was going on.
