Things you can do right now to increase traffic to your site.

    1. Make the most of Technorati tags.  tag every key word in each post. You can do this manually or with plugins for the more popular blogging software.  Tagging your posts will get them a lot more attention.

   2. If you already have a huge website with lots of traffic, point some links to your new site. (I know this one is pretty lame).

   3. Use trackback links to popular sites. If you commented on a post on another site make sure that you set up the appropriate trackback for it. The results on this depend on the site but it's free traffic and if you post a lot, it could wind up to be a lot of free traffic.

#1 - I don't know what Technorati tags are?

#2 - should be obvious for anyone not living under a rock, but I don't have a monster website that I can direct traffic from.

#3 - I think this just means leave your URL when you comment someplace, I guess they should have thrown in - try not to get caught posting links where people don't want them, or your in trouble.
