Not making money online

Well it’s February 2007 and I have decided that it is time to give up on trying to make money with my websites.

I have a lot of sites that the domain names are coming up for renewal and I have decided it is not worth the nine bucks to renew them. I had one site last year that made just over $200 for one month.

I got very excited and thought if I could get some more sites like that then it could add up to some money. But as it turns out most all of the other 75 or so sites I set up made closer to zero. So now I am paying around $750 a year for domain names and my one site that was up to #$200 is down to around $30 for this month.

Not even enough to cover the domain names I am paying for. So I am going to just let most of them expire and only keep a couple of them ones I like and then just post when I feel like it.

The bottom line is that you not only need to be a ultra fast writer, you need to have good/great promotional skills, and be able to get others to link to your site.

All of these take a lot of work, you need to write like crazy, then promote like crazy, then get people to link like crazy, then after a while you will start to see some money.

I guess I just don't want to work that hard at all these areas, because most of them are pretty boring.
