Timalerts.com day one
Stocks are so different than futures, with futures you can concentrate on one thing. With stocks there are millions of things to look at and each one is so different and you have to look at:
- can you buy or sell?
- is there any volume?
- what price are the other people trying to trade?
- on top of all that you have to worry about timing it right.
- action on the level2 box.
Everyone gets radically different results, a good example is people were talking about selling a stock, this is a typical conversation:
- did you sell?
- yes, but I got out and lost $40
- I lost $400
- I made $6000 sold before it bounced.
- I couldn't get any shares to short
- I am still short the stock.
Everyone gets a radically different result trading the same stock at close to the same time.
so starting out mostly what I see is... "hey did you see that great move a few minutes ago?"
Then I would switch to that chart and see that some stock had shot up.
This is going to take a lot of time to learn... a whole lot.
The stocks your looking at are always new stocks, not sure how I would ever get to the point where I could follow all of them and make any sense out of it at all.
Today there were 5 buy recommendations and 1 sell.
besides the 6 stocks in the news letter, people seemed to be talking about 20 to 50 other stocks off and on.
Didn't see anything from Timothy Sykes today, not sure if that is normal or not?
It looks like there are about 50 people using the live chat room, not sure if it does any good, mostly people pointing out what happened a little while ago.
From the chat room:
|
: Might be a good time to short.?
: Tim is right, MTMC is a crap company that probably will be sued.
: but if it take out alot of shorts well pop good
: none to short at etrade - bastards
: yeah same with tradeking
: etrade sucks, but what a pain to transfer
: Sogo has shorts.
: any1 shorting it?
: I am buying I think that is safer. |

Started watching Timothy Sykes pennystocking DVD, so far just mostly going over stuff on his site, lots of charts of the past daily charts that he traded.
